It would depend on the issues involved, such as whether the plaintiff or applicant shareholder’s claims have merit. A majority shareholder in control may be able to cause the Corporation to pay legal fees from company funds; however, a court may later decide otherwise. Even if fees are paid by a Corporation, they may not be deductible to that Corporation; you would need to consult an accountant.
